  • The route planning interface has evolved and has an entirely new base map operating system:

Switching over from one map to another map, IGN France, Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, SwissTopo, etc. has become a lot more simple.

  • From now on the route will automatically be arrow-headed

  • The points are more clearly displayed and have been optimised in accordance with the zoom level to guarantee a better performance

  • A functionality to delete consecutive route points has been added which makes it ideal to clean a GPS track

The Raid International Orientation O’bivwak comes to ‘Beaujolais Vert’ 26 and 27 May.

The event takes place by the Lake of the Pines (Lac des Sapins) at the town of Cublize over two days of orienteering in teams of two (or three).

Openrunner and the Raid organizing team offer you the opportunity to register for the 2012 event.

On Saturday, June 2, 2012, there are no less than six events on offer: the UltraTrail of 105km (3 points UTMB 2013) solo or in relays, the Trail of Hautes Cotes 42 km, the 27km Trail of the Vines, the Trail of Marsannay of 15km, and the 10km Discovery Trail Hike.These races take place amongst the local vineyards and forest of the Côte d’Or.

 

You can win entries for the Trails of 105km, 42km, 27km and 15km.

 

Register between March 15 and March 23, 2012 to participate in the draw to be held March 24, 2012.

Win entries for the Trail of Mirmande – A Qualifying Race for UTMB 2013

On Saturday 31 March and Sunday 1 April 2012, four events are offered: 45km (one point UTMB 2013), 26km, 12km and a 5km Family Run.

There will be nothing but pleasure all the way, in a friendly, warm, convivial atmosphere in one France’s award winning villages, attested to by many awards, including ‘most beautiful villages in France’, village in bloom, hilltop village, and botanical village.

You can win entries for the Trails of 45km, 26km and 12km.

Sign up between 24 February and 6 March 2012 to participate in the draw to be held 7 March 2012.

The contests keep coming on openrunner. On this occassion we stay in the field of road running.

You can win entries for the Marathon de Nantes and also for ‘les Foulées de l’Eléphant’, which takes place over the first 9km of the Marathon.

Prize draw – A high turnout but only one winner

More than 6,300 of you tried your luck to win the Garmin XT 310 HR, so a big thank you to all who participated.

The winner is Anthony Briat (76940). Surprised to have been drawn, Anthony said: “since I discovered openrunner, it has given me more motivation to run regularly, and to share my different routes”.

We plan to run more competitions on openrunner periodically, when you’ll have the opportunity to try your hand at winning entries in to races or equipment.
