Share your route!
This web site allows you to draw a pedestrian route and to obtain its distance*.
The functioning is simple, you add points on the map above (click), the route and the distance display automatically.
Required : Javascript activated. [Optimized for IE6/IE7 et Firefox 1.5/2.0]

Before starting a new route, don't forget to remove all markers by using button "Remove All Points". To start, select the city of your choice :
Then activate the action "Start" and add points on the map by clicking.
You can use satellite view to be more accurate when drawing your route.
Points can be moved or removed. It is also possible to insert points on the route.
When your route is ended, you can finalize the display by deactivating the action "Show Points" and by calculating the position of milepost by clicking on "Find Milepost"

You can save your route by signing up. Your account also allows you to share your route, and to modify it.
If you flag your route as 'Public', then you can load it quickly by using the following link : www.openrunner.com/index.php?id=XX, (XX is your route's ID, you can find it just after # in the route's name).
Keyword - Grouping public route : On recording page, you can add keyword to group route, exemple : "CLUB TOTO". Then use this keyword when you want to find all route recorded with it.
Recorded routes give access to elevation, data provided by openrunner for Europe and http://www.geonames.org for the rest of the world. Example :

* : The elevation is not taken into account. For information: the error on distance calculation is about 1%, for a 5% hillside (5m of rise for 100 m).
