The route leaves Andorra and enters Pallars Sobirà, one of the most authentic areas of the Catalan Pyrenees. The landscape follows the course of the Noguera Pallaresa river, becoming wilder and more rugged. Llavorsí and Alins perpetuate the mountain culture, while Espot is the gateway to the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park. The local cuisine revolves around Pyrenean lamb, freshwater trout, and traditional spirits such as gentian liqueur.
