Si tratta di un percorso che ripropone il Grand Tour, il lungo viaggio nell'Europa continentale effettuato dai giovani dell'aristocrazia europea a partire da '700 per perfezionare i loro studi e le loro conoscenze. Per arrivare a Roma si attraversava questo territorio della bassa valle del Nera e media del Tevere. Oggi il pecorso viene riproposto in chiave sportiva e turistica attraverso una randonnée di 300 km che si svolge ogni anno la prima domenica di settembre e un brevetto cicloturistico permanente che può essere conseguito anche a tappe durante tutto l'anno.</p>
