Départ de la côte ouest de l'île (Ribeira das Galhinas) pour une ascension spectaculaire (700 m) mais sans risque : sentier pavé d'excellente qualité offrant de magnifiques vues pour déboucher sur un Levada (Levada Nova) qui vous conduit tranquillement vers un petit hôtel d'altitude loin du "tumulte" de la capitale (hôtel Atrio ou Casa de Levada Nova).
